Oriana Ensemble

Oriana enjoys an enviable reputation for quality performance and the Oriana Ensemble will bring that to your event.

 

The Oriana Ensemble is a group of enthusiastic singers drawn from the ranks of our 90 strong adult membership.  We realised that there was a need in the community for a choir who could perform at various events: Weddings, Funerals, Family Celebrations, Corporate Events, in fact the possibilities are endless.

With 32 active members in the Ensemble we can pack a punch!  However, we are committed to tailoring the size of the group to suit your circumstances.  We are able to offer Women only ensembles, a small Men's ensemble and a full SATB choir.

In general, to guarantee the quality of sound you would expect from Oriana, we recommend a minimum of eight singers for four part works.  We will tailor the programme based on your requirements, however we are also happy to suggest pieces that will "fit" based on our extensive experience in performance.

In the first instance please contact us and request a call back.  We will then work with you to determine what exactly is required.  Suitable advance notice is obviously required so that we have time to prepare and rehearse the programme.  In the event of a short notice event, such as a funeral, we are of course happy to assist if at all possible.  Please bear in mind that there will be certain blackout periods around our formal concert schedule.  If you are not sure, please complete the contact form anyway and we will quickly let you know if we are not available.

Please understand that the Oriana Ensemble incurs expenses in the preparation and delivery of events.  As a result, we are NOT able to provide these services free of charge.  Our fees will be determined by negotiation with you and are dependent on several factors.  These include the size of the choir required, the length of the programme, accompanist fees if necessary, the location of the event etc.
